Lead, UI Engineer

Description

You will be joining Azira, a global Consumer Insights platform, helping marketing and operational leaders improve their effectiveness with actionable intelligence to drive business results. Its mission is to create a more relevant world where brands are empowered to reach and build relationships with their consumers

Azira is looking for a Lead, UI engineer who is motivated to combine the art of design with programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce the application’s visual elements. You will work with the Azira’s Design team and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks and works.

A Day in the Life

  • Building efficient, reusable, well-designed, and high-quality front-end systems.
  • Develop UI applications from the ground up using UI frameworks like React, Next.js, Vue.js, or AngularJS.
  • Optimize applications for the best experience without compromising loading times.
  • Responsible for deploying UI applications in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Collaborate with different cross-functional teams to deliver world-class UI/X experience. 
  • Anchor end-to-end development and ownership for the respective platform components and build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • You are expected to demonstrate good learnability and adopt technologies that help build large-scale, performance, reliable, and sustainable systems.
  • Responsible for mentoring and supporting team members while ensuring high overall productivity.

What You Bring to the Role

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
  • 6-9 Years of total experience; must have worked with React.js for more than three years.
  • Expertise in designing and developing customer-facing web applications at scale.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS frameworks like jQuery and Bootstrap, along with experience working with REST APIs, is a must.
  • Proficiency in cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Proficiency in code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Experience with Scrum development using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Should be self-motivated and adopt a collaborative approach to get things done.
  • Exposure to building responsive websites at scale will be a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills with an eye for detail.
